The Secret

The Secret are a grind/hardcore/black metal fusion band from Trieste, Italy.  Formed in 2003, The Secret have released four full length albums.  Their sound is a unique blend of metalcore/hardcore, grind, and black metal, which has helped them gain international noteriety.  The Secret will be making their first appearance at Maryland Deathfest in 2014.

Left for Dead

Left for Dead is a Toronto, Canada based hardcore band.  The group formed in 2004 and released several splits before parting ways.  As of 2013, Left for Dead have reuinted with most of their original members, and they are currently signed to Baltimore based A389 Records.  Left for Dead will be making their first Maryland Deathfest appearance in 2014.

Enabler

Enabler are a hardcore punk crossover band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Since their formation in 2009, Enabler have released several LP's and splits, and completed successful tours both in the U.S. and internationally.  Their fierce, driving sound has started to gain them noteriety in the hardcore punk community.  Enabler will be making their first Maryland Deathfest appearance in 2014.

Antisect

Antisect formed in 1982, and are considered widely influential in the anarcho-punk scene of the early and mid 1980's in the UK, fusing a heavy punk/metal style with intensely political lyrics. Originally splitting up in 1987, they reformed in 2011.

Ratos de Porao

Ratos de Porão, or simply RxDxPx, was formed in 1981, existing in the Brazilian (São Paulo city) punk rock scene . Directly influenced by the UK 82 hardcore bands such as Discharge, G.B.H., Varukers and Swedish and Finnish bands such as Anti-Cimex and Kaaos, they started to write songs that criticized Brazilian society, a revolutionary concept at the time. Their sound is regarded as one of rawest of their scene.  Ratos de Porão will be making their first appearance at Maryland Deathfest in 2014.

Stapled Shut

Stapled Shut are a powerviolence band from Los Angeles, California.  Originally formed in 1991, Stapled Shut were an integral part of the prominent powerviolence scene in Los Angeles in the early 1990's, and they have continued to perform and record for over twenty years.  Stapled Shut will be making their first Maryland Deathfest appearance in 2014.

Rotting Out

Lots of bands call Los Angeles their home, but few truly represent the city like ROTTING OUT. With members hailing from some of the more notorious parts of the storied streets everyone thinks of when they hear "LA," it's no wonder their music expresses that grit so rarely captured this perfectly. Raised on the sounds of local heroes Suicidal Tendencies and Pennywise, yet fully indebted to the thriving Southern California hardcore scene, ROTTING OUT have continually created some of the most energetic and captivating punk / hardcore being played today.

Sick/Tired

Sick/Tired is a hardcore punk/powerviolence band from Chicago, Illinois, featuring members of Mk-Ultra and Weekend Nachos.  Formed in 2009,  Sick/Tired released a their most recent LP in 2013, and will be making their first Maryland Deathfest appearance in 2014.

Final Conflict

Founded by Jeff Harp in 1983 Final Conflict has been a long standing staple of LA underground scene as well as being one of the first wave of “crossover” bands who mixed metal with hardcore punk. Much time has passed, members come and go but the love for the music has never ceased. Jeff has remained the foundation of the band, never waning in his devotion to Final Conflict and it's music.

Extreme Noise Terror

Extreme Noise Terror (often abbreviated to ENT) are a British crust punk / grindcore band originally formed in Ipswich, England in 1985. The band are widely considered one of the earliest and most influential European grindcore bands, and particularly the forefathers of the crustgrind subgenre.  Notable for one of the earliest uses of dual vocalists in hardcore punk, Extreme Noise Terror started as a crust punk band and helped characterize the early, archetypal grindcore sound with fiercely political lyrics, grinding guitars, extremely fast tempo and often very short songs.
