Pallbearer is a Doom metal band from Little Rock, Arkansas.


Sleep is a stoner doom metal band from San Jose, California. Active during the 1990s, Sleep earned critical and record label attention early in their career.  Sleep reformed in 2009, performing several live dates.

The Obsessed

The Obsessed is a doom metal band from Maryland led by Scott "Wino" Weinrich, who also fronted Saint Vitus, Spirit Caravan, Place of Skulls, The Hidden Hand and W.I.N.O. Formed in 1976, they first split up in 1986 when Wino joined Saint Vitus, but reformed four years later.  They split in 1995, but reunited again in 2011 for several live shows.

The Melvins are an American band that formed in 1983.   Since 1984, singer and guitarist Buzz Osborne (also known as King Buzzo) and drummer Dale Crover have been the band's ongoing members.  The Melvins' music is influenced by Black Flag's mix of punk and metal on their album My War, and other slow punk acts like Swans, Flipper and Wipers, but also by some hard rock and metal bands such as Kiss and Alice Cooper; however, their idiosyncratic approach, bizarre sense of humor, and experimentation make neat categorization difficult.


Evoken is an American funeral doom metal band from Lyndhurst, New Jersey.  Evoken is one of the earliest U.S. doom/death metal bands that are still active today.


Anhedonist is a doom metal/death metal band from Seattle, Washington.


Loss is a doom metal band from Tennessee, USA.


Morgion was a Doom/Death metal band from Orange County, California, United States.


Pelican is a post-metal quartet from Chicago, Illinois. Established in 2000, the band stems from their native post-metal scene and is known for their atmospheric and entirely instrumental style.

Pagan Altar

Pagan Altar was formed in 1976 by Alan and Terry Jones. Alongside Witchfinder General, they are one of the few NWOBHM bands to play doom metal. The band's concerts are characterised by moody, epic and heavy music, blended with stage effects which accent their interest in occult themes.
