Deathgrind

Test

Test are a two piece death/grind band coming all the way from Sao Paulo, Brazil. This duo creates loud, aggressive, in-your-face death tinged grind. Guitarist/vocalist João is a trained engineer, using his background to write insanely groove-laden riffs while Barata hammers on the drummers like a human machine. Get ready for this two piece to blow you away at their first MDF appearance.

Foetopsy

Circle of Dead Children

Circle of Dead Children is a deathgrind band formed in 1998, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  They refer to themselves as "purveyors of pure aural destruction with a claustrophobic, dense take on extreme metal." Vocalist Joe Horvath has stated that the band name was inspired by a vision of his, where a circle of flags from every country in the world lay on the floor, each bearing a mutilated child from its respective nation.

The Red Chord

The Red Chord was formed in Revere, Massachusetts in 1999.  The band's name is derived from Alban Berg's opera Wozzeck, in which a schizophrenic man slits his lover's throat, then reverts to his normal self and asks, "My love, what is that red cord across your neck?".

Cattle Decapitation

Cattle Decapitation is an American deathgrind band from San Diego, California.  Originally founded in 1996, Cattle Decapitation's songs protest the mistreatment and consumption of animals, the abuse of the environment and touch subjects such as misanthropy and genocide of the human race. Much of their music is based on putting humans in the situations that animals are subjected to (animal testing, slaughter, etc.).

Cephalic Carnage

Cephalic Carnage is an American grindcore band formed in 1992 in Denver, Colorado. Cephalic Carnage play a technically proficient deathgrind style, progressively experiment with other genres, and incorporate songs of joke nature into their albums, such as parodies of black metal or metalcore. They refer themselves as "rocky mountain hydro grind".  Cephalic Carnage will be featuring an old school set at Maryland Deathfest 2015, with a set featuring material from their first three albums.

Brutal Truth

Brutal Truth is an American grindcore band from New York City, formed by ex-Anthrax, Nuclear Assault, and Stormtroopers of Death bass guitarist Dan Lilker in 1990. The group disbanded in 1999, but reformed in 2006 and continue to release new music.

Putrescence

Coming from the frozen wastelands of Winnipeg, Canada, Putrescence play fast, angry goregrind, the way it was intended. Putrescence have been terrorizing music fans with grotesque, brutal music since 2003.  They were ready to call it quits after OEF 2015, but the lure of Baltimore was too strong. Putrescene is ready to deliver a sonic bat to your skull. This is their third MDF appearance.

Hemdale

Hemdale spawned in 1993 out of Cleveland, Ohio. In fitting with the Midwest tradition, Hemdale are a goregrind/death metal band. Much like food poisoning you can’t wait to be rid of, the original Hemdale only was short lived, breaking up in 1997 and reuniting in 2013. Hemdale are best known for their larger than life, bizarre, and rowdy live shows, their former drummer Craig Rowe’s label, Visceral Productions (after folding, many of Visceral’s bands signed to bigger labels), and never releasing a full-length album.
