A few of us coming over from Ireland for this. We like our food & beer/whiskeys/whiskies & bourbons! Where's good to sample around the 3 venues? :)

Birds of a Feather in Fells Point is mainly a Scotch bar, but they do carry some American bourbon and rye whiskies.  Here's their Facebook page (they don't have a website): http://www.facebook.com/pages/Birds-of-A-Feather/115721631791236

Down the street from Birds of a Feather is Max's Taphouse - it is the premier beer bar in Baltimore and one of the top rated beer bars in the nation.  It is a MUST SEE if you love beer!  I know they have a decent bourbon selection, but they are more known for having 100+ taps and nearly a thousand bottles to offer.  The place can get pretty packed on a Friday/Saturday night, so I would recommend hitting it up in the daytime if possible.  Max's website (keep in mind the tap beer selection rotates very frequently): http://www.maxs.com

Both these bars are "walking" distance from Baltimore SoundStage and Ram's Head - about 20 minutes on foot, 5 in a car or cab.  If you don't feel like walking an Uber or cab fare would be very reasonable.

A little further away in Hampden is a place I just went to myself for the first time last weekend called Blue Pit BBQ.  They have probably the best American whiskey selection (bourbon, rye, single malt) in the city, and their bartenders are knowledgable and make great cocktails.  They also have FABULOUS barbeque!  If you've never been to the States before, eating top-notch BBQ should be on your bucket list!  This place is still pretty close - probably a $15 dollar ride on Uber from downtown, and well worth the trip.  Hampden (the neighborhood) is a really unique part of the city, and a bit of a destination for movie lovers because of it's association with John Waters' films.  Blue Pit's website:  http://www.bluepitbbq.com

There you have it, from a local! :)
