California Deathfest will return to the Bay Area on October 12-13, 2024!
This will be an open-air event at 3rd and Castro in Oakland, next to Line 51 Brewing.
Dismember (Sweden) and Sodom (Germany) have been announced as the headliners. Both bands will be making exclusive West Coast appearances at CDF VII. The rest of the lineup will be revealed in the coming weeks!
A limited amount of discounted early bird (weekend – Sat/Sun) passes will go on sale today, 2/27, at 4 pm PST.

There will be a pre-fest on Friday, October 11th at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. This will be a separate ticket sold via the GAMH ticketing platform. More info on the pre-fest will be revealed soon!
There will be festival after parties on Saturday and Sunday at the Elbo Room Jack London on 3rd and Broadway. Several bands will play here each night starting around 10:30 pm.
We’re looking forward to collaborating with Oakland Metro to bring this event back to where it started, for at least one more year. Truth be told, we exhausted a lot of time over the last year discussing this event with other venues with a large enough capacity, but eventually it was clear – it was in our best interest to bring it back to the Bay Area and produce this festival in the DIY spirit that we’ve always preferred, rather than settle for unreasonable and/or unaffordable conditions elsewhere.
